Core materials and performance parameters of hard alloy molds
Basic Material System
The mainstream is tungsten cobalt WC Co alloy, which is divided into four grades according to grain size: nanocrystalline, ultrafine grain, fine grain, and medium coarse grain. Cobalt content is adjusted according to demand to balance hardness and toughness; Nickel based hard alloy is selected for non-magnetic working conditions to avoid magnetization interference with the workpiece.
Key performance indicators
Ultra high hardness: HRA85~93, far exceeding quenched die steel (HRC60-65), with wear resistance 10~50 times that of ordinary steel molds;
Long service life: The service life of cold heading and stamping conditions is increased by 10-30 times, significantly reducing the frequency of downtime and mold replacement;
Excellent dimensional stability: The thermal expansion coefficient is only one-third of that of steel, and the tolerance remains stable for a long time under high temperature and high-speed processing, with a tolerance of ± 0.01~± 0.02mm;
High temperature thermal hardening: maintaining high hardness at 600 ℃, suitable for hot forging and hot extrusion processes;
Anti sticking mold and corrosion resistance: Forming stainless steel, copper aluminum, and powder materials is not easy to strain the workpiece, and is resistant to acid and alkali slight corrosion;
High compression and bending resistance: With a bending strength of 2500-4000MPa, it can withstand large impacts and high-pressure forming without cracking or deformation.
